WWII Veteran Honored
May 2008

This picture is of Melinda James, her Mom and Dad. Her Dad was on the Honor Flight sent to visit the WWII Memorial this past Saturday.

"This picture was taken when Dad arrived back in Huntsville from the Honor Flight. It was quite an impressive welcome home for the veterans as there was a bag pipe player leading them down the airport hallway and several hundred friends and family members cheering and waving American flags. He had a great time and is still talking about his whirlwind trip. There were four buses that picked up the veterans at the DC airport and they had a police escort for part of the trip. They visited: the World War II Memorial, Iwo Jima, Women's Military museum, Arlington National and saw the changing of the guard. The Honor Flight Tennessee Valley certainly made it a memorable trip for Dad."

Total Solutions’ employees were recognized along with the Boeing Payload Data Library (PLD) Team for their commitment to success during the development and delivery of PDL Release 16.0.
August 2005

The international Space Station (ISS) program achieved a significant capability when Boeing delivered the PDL Release 16.0 to NASA in August 2005. The completion of this milestone culminated a 14-month intensive requirements analysis and software implementation effort base largely on a Lean Six Sigma process improvement plan. Most project personnel understood that the PLD Release 16.0 project was going to be tough from the beginning. It certainly lived up to this expectation. The entire team worked very aggressively to meet all of the project milestones with accuracy and clarity. Even with team members working overtime, the team was committed to involving the users community in several passes of the development activity. Most notably, this involvement included a hands-on system established to allow users to test drive new capabilities as well as a few live and interactive software demonstrations to show off new features and functions. In addition, the team stood fast with Data Set Managers and Payload Developers with reviewing the migrated ISS payload data. This ensured that the ISS payload team was comfortable with the accuracy of date export and import process. The Total Solutions’ team included Kay Hickman, Mary McComb, Charlotte McDonald, Eric Vinson, Diana Welchans, Karl Wynja, and Chery Wilson.
