The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is sponsoring the National Lead Poisoning Prevention Training Center in Atlanta, Georgia on March 9-12, 2020. This training is aimed at state and local health department staff and it is limited to those with three or fewer years of experience in the field of lead poisoning. Staff members who have attended earlier sessions of this training are not eligible to attend.

First preference for registration will be given to staff of CDC-funded Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Programs (CLPPPs) or their state and local partner(s) who meet the experience qualifications. This includes: program managers; epidemiologists; data managers; outreach staff; community health workers; visiting nurses; care coordinators; and, sanitarians.

There is no fee to attend this training; however, you must register using the online form below.

The training is taking place at the Westin Buckhead, Atlanta. Please don’t forget to reserve your guest room. The cutoff date to reserve your room at the discounted rate of $164/night for single or double rooms (plus tax) is February 19, 2020.

If you are interested in receiving nursing continuing education credits, sanitarian continuing education units, or a certification of completion, you must attend the entire training. Please make your travel arrangements so that you can attend the first presentation on Monday, March 9, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. and will not have to leave before the training concludes at 3:30 pm on Thursday, March 12, 2020.
